WASC First Christmas Development Meet
As Head Coach of Winsford Swim Team I would like to say how wonderful it was to witness our first ever Christmas Development meet today. The meet was heavily over subscribed with clubs coming from all over the North West of England to take part in a meet designed for the young up and coming talent. The racing was very exciting to watch with great skill and determination but what stood out for me was the fun environment all around the pool. It was clear to see there were some outstanding swims from swimmers of all clubs with some massive PB's and many new County QT's, it is obvious Winsford Lifestyle centre is one very fast pool.
Meets do not just happen it takes an army of volunteers to make it possible, thank you so much to anybody who contributed in making our meet the most successful ever, with a special thanks to our gala team who did an outstanding job and ran our meet with military precision. I would also like to thank all referees, judges and time keepers, basically anyone wearing white thank you. I would also like to say thank you to all visiting clubs, coaches and swimmers, it was a great meet but only because you all came and supported us. I hope you had a great time and had some successful races, from what I could see all swimmers raced superbly well, well done to all swimmers from our visiting swimmers. I would also like to congratulate Crewe Flyers who gained Top Visiting Club, very well deserved Chris Pugh and his swimmers.
My final thank you goes to our swimmers, first class attitude from each and every swimmer. You are the reason Winsford Swim Team goes from strength to strength, you are the reason we love this club, it was so much fun, well done. Many thanks to all Winsford coaches Alex, Daniel and Mike for being poolside and supporting our young swimmers all day.
