A Level Success for Winsford Swim Team 2019

Congratulations to all our swimmers who received their A Level Exam results today. I have received lots of positive feedback today, with all our swimmers achieving great success, super high grades and gaining a spot in the University and course of their choice.
It is truly wonderful to hear our swimmers past and present doing so well in their studies and gaining the results they thoroughly deserve. It again shows that sport and education sit hand in hand, numerous studies suggest that there is a positive relationship between those students who do sport and those students who gain the top grades. Swimming helps to build so many skills which help in future life; commitment, organisation, hard work and perseverance through good times and times of challenge, in simple terms, swimming and exams = Success!
Well Done again to: Will Deeming, Becky Howman, Domi Dean and Josh Wilson who are current swimmers at Winsford and to: Ellie Cushen, Harry Armitt and Josh Egerton who do not train with us anymore but who have an affiliation with Winsford through their siblings. I would also like to say well done to all ex swimmers who have swum for us in the past but who may not be at Winsford anymore or have a current affiliation but have also completed their A Level exams this year.
Congratulations again to one and all, swimmers past and present, I would like to wish each and everyone of you (plus Adam Blackshaw who sat his exams last year but is going to University this year) all the very best for the future whether it be University or Apprentice or Work, it is such an exciting time of your lives, enjoy today and look forward to the future because it is very bright and of course very, very Orange! Life is precious, go and grab every opportunity and live it to the full.
Please know that the door is always open at Winsford for all our ex swimmers whether it be for a chat, a simple hello or a swim. It’s always great to welcome back our University swimmers into the pool at Winsford.
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue which counts” Winston Churchill
Thank you for all your hard work and commitment you have shown Winsford Swim Team over the years, I hope you will hold swimming and the time you have been at Winsford very close to your hearts and look back very fondly on what you have all achieved in the sport and at Winsford Swim Team.
Keep swimming!
Dan
