Alex Moss Sponsored Silence Fundraiser for CALM

For those of you who know me well, you’ll understand that I am quite a loud and excitable person. Being told to “be quiet” or to “shut up” are common phrases I hear the most throughout my day! Many students at college have suggested that I should try to attempt a day of silence, but to do that on my own would be hard, especially without motivation.

So, to strive to complete this challenge, on Friday 17th January I will be completing a Sponsored Silence to raise money for a charity that deals with an important subject within our modern society – mental health.

One in four people will experience a mental health problem in their lives which is why I believe this to be an issue that can be improved with the right support and resources available. Partnering with and raising funds for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), I will be giving up my voice to help those who are suffering find the courage and resources to use their own voice to speak out to receive the support they need.

This subject is something very important to me and I am grateful for the sport of swimming for being a method of improving my mental well-being, however this is something many people don’t have access to which is why they need our help and support.

I would be grateful to anyone who could take some time away from their day to donate to this cause and support me with my challenge as even a small donation will help improve the resources that are available to those in need.

Thank You,

Alex Moss – Juggernaut Squad
