Winsford Swimming Club

A second day of racing this weekend for our youngsters over in Macc and another great meet, exclusively for swimmers aged 9-12. For some swimmers it was their first external gala, fantastic to see you all there!

Racing similar races as yesterday gave the swimmers a unique opportunity to reflect on feedback given and put it to the test almost instantly which never really happens! So we had some really mature approaches and successful outcomes today with PBs (even from yesterday’s PBs) and some more Cheshire times collected! 

We got a wonderful total of 10 GOLDS, 10 SILVERS and 11 BRONZE! With a Winsford clean sweep in the girls 12yrs 200 free and boys 11yrs 50 fly! A special mention to Daisy Holt, sprint queen of the day gaining a speeding ticket in 50 fly! 

I want to praise all swimmers there today for creating a really positive environment and great team spirit - a wonderful example to set. 

Special thanks to Gemma Robinson, Anthony Brennan and Clare Atkinson who all volunteered yesterday and today - thanks from all of us! Thanks Annabelle Chan who came to support poolside.

And to Molly Brennan, who clearly loved yesterday so much she came back for more:) but thank you in all seriousness, pleasure to have you on poolside. Well done all!
