Cheshire Swim Camp Selection
Congratulations to all our swimmers who have been selected to take part in the Cheshire Skills Camp on the 27th October in Sandbach. The camp is for swimmers in Cheshire who are aged 10-12 years and who have achieved a top 10 placing in the Cheshire Age Group Awards at the County Championships earlier this year. Swimmers need to race over 5 different events (Sprint, Form, Medley, Distance and 100s) to attain points in the hope of gaining a top 10 placing.
Swimmers selected:
10-11 Years
Girls: Charlotte Mullett, Sophie Harrison.
Boys: Adam Wright, Lewis Turner.
12 Years
Girls: Lily Harwood, Sophie Grindley.
Boys: Theo Oliver
Well Done to all our swimmers who have been selected, it is great to see 6 of our younger swimmers gaining selection. I am sure all our swimmers will take up their place and represent our swimming club to the highest order.
I know our current crop of 9-11 year olds will be trying their very best to break into the top 10 in Cheshire in the 2018 County Championships. All swimmers in Development should be targeting Cheshire County Consideration Times and then looking to medal in January. To do this there needs to be a very high level of commitment and consistency in training both in terms of attendance and training performance. I am sure our younger swimmers will rise to the challenge.
