Swimming & Coaching Background
I have been involved in assisting and teaching swimming for over twenty years. Unlike many people involved with swimming clubs I was never a competitive swimmer myself (at least not to the standard of those at Winsford!) although if asked I am definitely the fastest swimmer the club has or ever will have.
I actually got into teaching through my mother, a swimming teacher herself, when I used to assist her lessons. This progressed into getting myself qualified and working as a part time teacher around other work. When I moved up north to Winsford from Kingston in Surrey (where the sun is!) I started working full time as a swimming teacher which eventually led me to getting involved with Winsford Amateur Swimming Club.
Personal Statement
My name is Michael Secker and I am a coach/teacher/dogsbody. I like chocolate, purple and geckos. I dislike guacamole, the cast of In the Night Garden (except Iggle Piggle) and medium length walks.
