Swim England Level 2 swimming teacher.
I’ve always loved the water and enjoyed my early years in the pool; however it was only when Dan came along and kicked me into action, that my passion for competitive swimming began. He guided me through local, county, regional and finally national level after 3 morning sessions a week (on top of evenings)! Now, as an older athlete, my greatest pleasure comes from seeing the youngsters progress through the ranks and fall in love with the sport. From lessons at 9, to club captain at 19, swimming has been an enormous part of my life. Now I wish to give something back to the sport and club that I love by helping our swimmers reach their full potential.
After years of volunteering, teaching, being club captain and now coaching, my best advice would be; your swimming careers are incredibly short so make every session count and take every opportunity, the memories will last you a lifetime.
Good listeners, very hard workers and Terry’s chocolate orange.
Bad drills, bad lane discipline and queuing.
