North West Regional masters Report 2020

Well done to all our swimmers who competed at North West Masters Regionals on Saturday 22nd Feb bringing home many PBs and medals. This was our first gala as a team after forming in September, and what a success it was! For many this was their first time competing in a long time, and it’s been a long few weeks and many belly flops later getting race ready, but what a fantastic performance from everyone!
The medal totals were:
14 GOLD

12 SILVER

7 BRONZE

Outstanding performances went to our Men's 160+ team (Adam Parkinson, James Laverty, Kerry Brudenell, and Michael George) for their first ever relay together, with a amazing performance brought back a gold. Our Men's 72+ Freestyle Relay (James Mitchell, Nick Law, Jacob Robson, & Callum Chapple) also won gold beating rivals Preston.

Final Congratulations to Emily Jevons, Kerry Brudenell, Michael George, & James Laverty for achieving their first British Masters qualifying times for their age groups.

We now look forward to Staffordshire Masters meet on the 7th March.

Full list of Swimmers- Adam Parkinson, Alex Moss, Callum Chapple, Emily Jevons, Hannah McEnaney, Izzy Burton, James Laverty, James Mitchell, Kerry Brudenell, Matthew Walker, Michael George, Molly James, Nick Law, Ross Harrison & Steph Parkinson
