Stockport Metro 800 & 1500 Free - Report 2020
On Friday 13th March Winsford Swim team had four swimmers travel to Stockport to race in the 800m or 1500m Free events over the LC format. Ross Hanley and Ethan Wright were going in the 800 and Chris Lowndes and Connor McVicar in the longest event in the pool the 1500. This was our very first LC meet in the window and so was a benchmark for where we are at, for Ross and Connor this was their very first distance free swim over the LC format, some very important experience gained for the future.
The results on the evening were good with all racing with determination, skill and good pacing.

Ethan Wright (15+) 800 Freestyle: 6th 8:58.32
Chris Lowndes (13) 1500 Freestyle: 2nd 20:05.32
Connor McVicar (15+) 1500 Freestyle: 6th 20:04.63
Well done again to Ross, Ethan, Chris and Connor.
