Addition to Committee
Following on from recent changes to our Committee structure designed to improve representation across our membership, we are making a further change in this area.
We are introducing a new Committee role designed to give our swimmers a voice on how our Club is run.
This role is very different from our Team Captaincy group, whose role is to lead and support our swimmers at Galas and League Events and to set a leadership example inside and outside the Club. This new role is designed to be part of the Club Management structure, better connecting how we run things to our swimmers and offering a different perspective.
We do need to look at an age group of 18 years or close for this role as this would be the minimum age to join a Committee.
We are pleased, in this formative year, to have Abbey George and Thomas Carss take on this role, and Abbey’s views have already proved to be interesting and informative.
We believe that the views of all sections of our membership count, and that this Committee change will help this develop.
