New Procedures Clarification

After a few days of seeing how the new procedures work we thought we would take this opportunity to clarify some points and clear up any misunderstandings.
Why are we doing it this way?
Why can't we all use the changing rooms on the way in and out?
This decision has been made as Brio's procedures are to clean the changing rooms after each user group.  If we used the changing rooms on the way in and out we would need to leave 15 minute gaps between swimming sessions which means a lot less time in the pool and a lot more restrictions on when everyone can swim.  This way, might be a bit more awkward on entry, but does mean that, from a training point of view, we are back to normal.
How much longer will be be doing this?
Although we are planning to return to normal training times from the 30th we still don't know how much longer we will be using the current entry procedures.  It completely depends on Brio's policies regarding the need for cleaning the changing rooms.  Of course we want to completely return to normal, however, our priority has always been trying to give you the most pooltime we possibly can.
Entry
Masks are not required to be worn in the queue any more.  However, you are welcome to wear one if you wish.  (You still need to make sure you have a mask for exit)
Benches
We would like the deep end benches to be kept clear for coaching staff.  You can be as squashed or as spread out on the other benches as you want.  You will be directed to which benches you can use.
Training
Social distancing is no longer enforced. However, some swimmers may wish to continue to do so, so please respect that.
Pool Exit
When you leave the pool you will need to stay by your bench until called through to the showers.  Take the time to have a lovely chat to your friends.
Showers
You can have a shower.  You can even give yourself a quick clean with shampoo/body wash if you want.  However, we want to keep people moving so try and limit yourself to one or two minutes.  If you don't want a shower let the helper know and go straight through to the changing rooms.
Changing
Try and be nice and quick when changing.  We have had plenty of practice with the poolside changing over the past year as well as at the Summer Meet.  A couple of minutes and then out please.
Exit
When walking from the changing rooms to the main entrance/exit, Brio have asked if we can continue to wear a mask as we may end up mixing with other customers.
Helpers
We have CLOs in the building to ensure we don't have overcrowding in the showers or changing rooms (as per Brio's request).  They are NOT required to stay until the last swimmer has left, only until the majority of the swimmers have vacated the area.
Spectators
Currently we cannot have Spectators in the building.  We are working with Brio to determine when this will be possible from.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Michael
