Special Volunteer Award for Lucie George
For the benefit of those who were unable to attend the Presentation Evening on Saturday, I would like to add a few words to the volunteer award given to Lucie George, as our whole membership should be aware of the key role she played in getting our sessions restarted, and expanded, following the lockdowns.
Lucie’s expertise and Risk Assessments, done despite a high personal workload, along with our weekly meetings with Brio Management, established the level of confidence at Brio which enabled ours to be one of the most successful Swimming Club restarts.
My few words at the Presentation Evening didn’t really cover it, and I’m sure you will all join me in thanking Lucie and her COVID team - it was a major effort and should be recognised.
