Arena League Round 1 – A Team - 11th October 25 - Report
It’s that time of year again, Arena League is here! Whoop whoop! We saw we had a hard draw once again with 5/7 of the top clubs in the North West being in our first round. It was a whole new team raring to go. We had lots of PBs and close racing with the other clubs and held our own. We had two swimmers who won their races, huge congratulations to Hattie Lawson and Carys Roberts who both performed above and beyond to get those points. Extra thank you to Carys for coming back from University, we absolutely loved having you home. 2nd place finishes to our 13 and Under Girls relay twice, our Women’s Open, Gus Fraser, Molly Brennan, and Ruby Stonier. Absolutely phenomenal all of you. Thank you to Sophie George, Johnny Mullett and George Young for making the trip over from University to come and swim. Shout out to Alfie White, Max Roberts, Ben Atkinson, Jack Wynne, Grace Gordon, Rebecca Wilkinson, Isla Clifford, Henrietta Chick, Ed Smalley and Charlotte Ainscough who all got to experience the Premier division for the first time.
We understand the pressure of Arena league is high, as coaches we want the best for the team and for each swimmer to reach their full potential. Swimming for your team is the most wonderful experience and it can make you swim faster then you ever thought possible. Last night we proved we are still a strong Winsford force and will come back even stronger for the next round.

To Dani and Sara for all their hard work in processing the teams sheets. To our whole coaching team who spends hours analysing results, times, rankings. It’s a lot of work to get to where we have and requires a massive team effort.
Congratulations to the B team on a phenomenal result, you exceeded our expectations on this one, so a massive massive well done & can’t wait to see if we can hold on and qualify for the top final of division 1 for the first time in the club's history. Thankfully we have nice draws for both teams for round 2 so let’s absolutely maximise this going into the finals. Ensure attendance is top notch these next 4 weeks and trying your absolute best to stay healthy. Let’s take absolutely everything to Stockport and Ellesmere Port and show them what we are made of!
