County Welfare Officer Vacancy - March 2025

Dear Secretary

May we please ask your assistance on behalf of the county in circulating the information below to anyone you think may be suitable or interested in the role of County Welfare Officer.

Following retirement of the previous Welfare Officer,  Cheshire County Water Polo & Swimming Association (CWPSA) currently has a vacancy for a Welfare Officer to cover the County swimming area.

This is an amazing opportunity to  support and promote child welfare for clubs within the county and we would appreciate your assistance in promoting this vacancy within your club.

The role includes supporting club welfare officers when required, taking an active lead in  more complex issues and liaising with the  SENW Welfare Officer
and Safeguarding and Welfare department at Swim England.

Ideally this role would suit a club welfare officer or a person whose  occupation includes Safeguarding or Welfare and requires the holder to have a current DBS, SE safeguarding certificate and to have attended the updated SE Time to Listen course and  associated workshop.     However, all training will be provided for any interested applicants who do not hold these and the retired welfare officer is currently on hand to provide support and advice.

Interested applicants should email relevant details to the County Secretary at  secretary@swimcheshire.org.uk

Your assistance with this is greatly appreciated

Many thanks and kind regards

Carol Hughes

Hon Secretary - Cheshire County Water Polo & Swimming Association
