Gala Preparation 13/11/24 - Juggernaut and Development Squad Swimmers

The next couple of months are a busy and important time of the season for us.

We have a number of Galas coming up in December including Cheshire Graded, Satellites and our own Christmas Meet.

The start of December also brings the Winter Nationals, for a handful of swimmers, as well as the two Arena League Finals.

Training sessions will be altered slightly over the next few weeks to try and prepare you for the races ahead.

Monday morning technique sessions will still be running but with a greater emphasis on starts and turns.  There will also be an option for swimmers to focus on their competition strokes.

Friday night will be more focused on race skills such as starts, turns and underwater work.

SWIMMERS - Please try and keep your attendance high where possible.  Please communicate to your coaches and work with them to make any improvements you can over the following weeks.  See what sessions are best for what you need.  The quieter morning sessions are great for in depth stroke and skill analysis and are a great opportunity for you to work the strokes you want to work.  The evening sessions give you a chance to put those skills to the test and train with your peers.  If in doubt just ask and we well point you in the right direction.

PARENTS - Those who are able, please keep helping us out when possible.  Getting blocks out and putting them away, helping out with timing on a Wednesday, spraying your child with Vitamin c to ward off colds etc.

Thank you

The Coaching Team
