Junior Swim Camp 2023 - Report and Video
On Monday 3rd April 36 swimmers travelled from Winsford for the Junior Swim Camp at Moreton Hall, we had a perfect mixture of seasoned professionals and fresh meat!
We had 6 swim sessions, all named and foreshadowing the planned session. These were accompanied by 5x land training sessions. Fortunately the second day gave great weather so we used the Astro for sunny land training and relay races! Molly led yoga and Pilates sessions with plenty of stretches and mobility work.
We had games, football, running, piano, and lots of fun! Friendships blossomed and our beautiful team bond continued to grow, it was heart-warming to see.
This camp brought different test sets everyday, with a strong focus mental resilience and independence. Each day we had swimmers pushing themselves to their absolute limits with top performances. Swim camps develop your children as swimmers and people; they learn lifelong skills such as commitment, perseverance and how to be organised. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again - Swim camps nurture a ‘never quit mentality’, when you reach that tough place it’s about who gives up and who pushes on. We are extremely proud of the swimmers who attended as this was a tough camp.
Thank you for all the messages, it means a lot! We hope everyone enjoyed the camp, it was a great success and Molly, Michael and myself thoroughly enjoyed it. We love getting to know all our swimmer's personalities outside of the pool. A truly fantastic group! They should be proud of their achievements this week, well done:)
