SE SC Masters Nationals 2025
Izzy, Ethan, Sophie and myself have had a fantastic 3 days in Sheffield. At the beginning of the week we said to each other we really weren’t sure how this was going to go, with both Ethan and myself poorly the week leading in and all 3 of us feeling the effects and fatigue of recent comps we truthfully had no idea how we would perform. But we fired ourselves up and were just so excited and happy to be there. The magic of Ponds Forge water came to life with Izzy, Ethan and myself all swimming lifetime PBs. Ethan won the 100IM being crowned National Champion 18-24 age bracket and also had top 10 finishes in the 50 Butterfly, Breastroke and 100m Freestyle and swum 2 new life PBs. Izzy took gold in the 4x200m Freestyle & 4x50m Freestyle, Bronze in 4x100m Freestyle, 4th in 100 IM and 6th in 200 IM and managed 3 new Lifetime PB’s. I joined Izzy in winning gold in the 4x200m Freestyle relay & took Gold in the 200m Butterfly, Silver in 400 IM and Bronze in 4x50m Freestyle relay whilst swimming 5 new lifetime PBs. Sophie George joined us from uni and it was so lovely to have her with us at masters nationals, she finished 10th in the 50m Butterfly and was absolutely incredible, and also did great swims in the 100m Butterfly and 50m Freestyle. Good Luck at BUCS Sophie you looked prep’d and ready!!
Thank you to the club for their support of covering us to allow us to go and compete, and continuous support with us continuing our swimming journeys.
