SENW Swimming Club of the Year 2025 - Winners!
We only went and won it!!
On Saturday 20th September Izzy, Andy, Jacqui, Sue and Michael were invited to the Swim England North West Regional Awards.
There were speeches, there was singing, there were balloons. There was no dancing (I hadn't taken a hair bobble with me).
There were Awards in a number of categories including coaching, volunteering and officiating. There were also Awards for the different wet-based disciplines - artistic swimming, diving, water polo and, what we were there for, swimming.
We were up against some tough competition against the big metro clubs, who have had some successful seasons, but, I knew we had a good chance. Swimmers at all levels have been performing to such a high standard, loads of pbs and loads of successful swims from the North Midlands up to and including Internationals. Arena League might have helped a little too!
We were presented with our WINNERS award by British Champion Amelie Blocksidge and British Water Polo Player (Poloist?) Dan Paddon.
Well done to everyone involved with Winsford Swimming Club from coaches, teachers, helpers, volunteers, swimmers, parents etc.
