SENW & SENE Multi Regional Artistic Swimming, Combo Team, Masters and Novice Competition 2025

The first Multi Regional Competition for a number of years in the North West, will be taking place this Saturday, 14th June 2025 from 9.30am at Manchester Aquatics Centre.

The Region is looking forward to welcoming athletes from across the North West and North East clubs and with an unprecedented number of entries (in excess of 270!) it is bound to be an enjoyable and competitive event. It would be great to see athletes from other disciplines dropping in to support this event - especially as it is taking place in Manchester - perhaps one or two may even be inspired to have a go at exploring the incredible world of Artistic Swimming!!   Results and pictures will be available in next week's update.

 

Artistic Swimming Regional Games – Congratulations

For the 2024/25 season, the North West Region ran 3 full day camps for 30 selected swimmers from the across the region’s clubs, 15 athletes were chosen from that group to represent the region at the Regional Games in Bristol on 30th May 2025 click here for all the details.

 

Regional Distance Development Programme – A well done

Sunday 8th June was the Final session for the Regional Distance Development Programme, Athletes attended Sale Water Park, where they were coached by Bob Bolton.

The session covered skills required for an open water race and a training session round the course, the athletes did extremely well in the water many experiencing this for the first time.

SENW Regional Awards (forming part of the SE National Awards) 2025

Nominations are now open for the 2025 Swim England North West Regional Awards, part of the 2025 Swim England National Awards.

Swim England North West are seeking a new Water polo manager for the Water Polo Management Group.

Coaching Lead - Swimming Leadership Group (voluntary role)

Swim England currently have a vacancy on the Swimming Leadership Group for a coaching lead, The Coaching Lead acts as an informed voice in relation to the coaching matters in swimming both on an operational and strategic level. GoCardless Swim England Diving National Age Group Championships 2025

The GoCardless Swim England Diving National Age Group Championships is the largest national diving competition in England with athletes battling for national honours across four different age groups. The competition will take place 26-29th June 2025 Click here for further details.

 

Swim England National Skills Finals 2025 (Diving)

This year’s Swim England National Skills Finals 2025 will take place at Southend Leisure & Tennis Centre on 19th & 20th July 2025, Click here for further details.

Artistic Swimming - Judges update training session

Swim England will be running a Artistic Swimming Judges update training session on 14th July 6-8pm. This is not compulsory, but an opportunity for further learning/support/insight/questions answered/practise etc for all Judges of all levels. Swimming Technical Officials - Judge 1 Theory

This online learning is the first step to achieving Judge 1 status for swimming technical officiating. It is accessible to anyone who wants to understand the World Aquatics rules relating to swimming and the process of being a Judge Swimming Official and Time Keeper. You must be at least 15 years of age at the start of the course, click here to book.

 

Swimming Judge 2 training

Judge Level 2 is the next step in the swimming technical official qualification, building upon the skills learned in Judge Level 1. This level focuses on all aspects of judging strokes and involves additional responsibilities, click here to sign up.
