Summer Development Meet 2022 - Volunteers Needed / Raffle Prizes Needed / Cakes will be Needed
Whilst the end of June seems a while away preparations are well underway for our Summer Development Meet 2022 on 25th June.
This is our first Open Meet since Christmas 2019 and promises to be a busy one as it is full with a reserve list.
To ensure this meet is a success for the club we need the following from you:
Volunteers
To volunteer for many roles at an Open Meet you have to have a DBS (for anyone 16 and over) - ideally a Swim England DBS - so it is slightly different to an internal meet. But not all roles require it.
We need help with the following:
- Officials - Minimum J1 in Training
- Squad Marshalling (Transition, Development & Juggernauts) - SE DBS required
- Lane Marshalling - DBS required
- Medals Desk
- Set Up/Take Down
- Cake Stall (Preparing it before hand and/or running it)
- Entry Desk / Raffle

We can't promise you a particular role, we have to juggle who we have as is most appropriate. Whilst we need and want volunteers we also have to be mindful of the volume of swimmers poolside for this meet so please ensure you have a role assigned to you, don't just turn up.
Raffle Prizes
If anyone has any unwanted Christmas gifts, smellies, chocolate, alcohol etc that they would like to donate to the raffle, please pass to either Claire Turner or Julie Grindley either at the pool or message Claire at clubsecwasc@gmail.com or on Facebook.
Cake Stall
We are having a cake stall again at this year's Summer Development Meet and we need your donations please. Cakes in pre-cut single portions, cupcakes, traybakes, cookies - whatever you feel like baking or buying to contribute to make our meet a success.
