SUMMER HOLIDAY TRAINING TIMES 2024

As in previous years we will be reducing training slightly over August to allow swimmers a little break and for the coaching team to get some much needed rest, before we begin the new season in September.

Swimming has an incredibly long season, probably longer than any other sport, and, with this in mind, it is very important for us all to regenerate and refresh during August so we can come back in September with renewed energy. It is also important to note that keeping a good degree of aerobic base fitness during August will give our swimmers a distinct advantage going into the early season meets which begin with Bakewell and our own September Sprints Meet.
August will not only be a time for light aerobic training but a great opportunity for a real push on our skills and technique on all four strokes and underwater work.

We as a club have had an absolutely wonderful season with so much to celebrate for all our swimmers. Our results don’t happen through chance, it is many hours of hard work, commitment and dedication from all swimmers, coaches, parents, officials and committee. So well done and thank you to everyone who has contributed to our clubs results, an outstanding team effort.
Have a great summer.
