Training returns to normal - Juggernaut, Development and Transition swimmers

With the start of the 2024-2025 season all training has returned to normal.

There is additional training available for some squads and further information about some of the sessions.

TRANSITION

All Transition Swimmers can attend Monday evening Land Training from 6.15-7.15pm in the sports hall.

DEVELOPMENT

Development Silver swimmers can now attend Monday morning training from 5-6.30am

JUGGERNAUT AND DEVELOPMENT

50m Training is back.

Saturday 7th September 2024 Long Course Training is on at Liverpool Aquatics Centre at Wavertree 50m pool for Juggernaut B, C & Gold from 10am - 12pm.

It is really important to let Dani Stonier know if you intend to swim so the appropriate set is prepared by the coach for the swimmers attending and so any additional spaces can be filled to maximise the sessions.

Please reply to the email promptly to secure your swimmer's place by emailing winsfordtm@gmail.com
ALTHOUGH THIS SESSION IS NOT FOR JUGGERNAUT A PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND.  IF THERE IS ROOM WE WILL LET YOU KNOW ASAP
Next sessions if you want to book early:
Saturday 14th Sept - Juggernaut A
Saturday 28th Sept - Juggernaut B, C & Gold
THEMED SESSIONS
For a while now we have been working on specific focuses (foci?) during certain sessions.  Below is a list of what to expect on certain days - not all sessions are listed as we like some surprises:
Monday AM - Technique
Tuesday AM - Turns and underwater skills
Wednesday AM - Distance and working set
Wednesday PM - Race Skills including starts, turns and speed
Friday AM  - Distance and working set
Friday PM - Technique
Saturday AM - Turns and underwater skills
PUNCTUALITY AND ATTITUDE - PLEASE MAKE SURE THE SWIMMERS SEE THIS
Firstly, please can every swimmer make every effort to ensure they are ready to enter the water when the session starts.  This is not the time to start mobility, putting hats on, adjusting goggles, removing earrings or starting conversations.  We understand that sometimes people are late but there is a difference between getting stuck in traffic and spending ten minutes to walk out of the changing rooms.  There will be times when you cannot get onto poolside due to lessons, or similar, taking place - you are allowed to put your hats on before you leave the changing rooms.
Secondly, please approach each set positively.  It may not be your favourite set but we still expect 100% effort.  We are striving to give swimmers an extensive and varied programme.  We are open to constructive feedback from all swimmers so please communicate with your coaches.
As coaches we may not always give you what you want but we are always aiming to give you what you need to reach your goals.
Thank you
The Coaching Team
