Winter Regionals Report 2025
Huge congratulations to our 17 swimmers who competed in this year’s Winter Regionals over in Manchester. It’s an amazing achievement just to qualify and get there. We had lots of fast racing and some amazing new PBs. Special congratulations Giorgio, Siena and Hen who all won gold in their respective events. And to Molly, Emily, Lois, Sophie, Gus, Hen & Ed S who all finished within the top placings to make finals performing incredibly and showing pure determination. There were so many good swims it was hard to highlight them all & some really positive results, but here were some of our standouts. Hattie, our youngest qualifier at just 13 years old amongst only 8 other swimmers in the region to meet qualification times. Gus swum in the 200m Butterfly final age 14 against predominantly 17-19 year olds. Molly Brennan for incredible new PBs on her 50&100m Backstroke.

Finally congratulations to Lewis, Carys and Kate who competed at other regional events across the country with their school or university and also swum incredible times. Lewis, Carys- can’t wait to see you both on Saturday.
We now push onto Saturday for Arena Round 2 followed by Buxton Meet & ESSA National Relays, lots of exciting competitions coming up so let’s keep attendance at training top priority.
