Manchester Open 2025 - Report

Across the weekend 9-11 May, Winsford Swim Club took 34 swimmers to the Manchester Open Arena Swim Meet, competing against some of the best swimmers in the UK. The competition was tough, but every Winsford swimmer showed great effort and commitment in their races.
For some, the goal was to achieve national qualifying times; for others, it was about hitting personal bests (PBs) or experiencing long-course racing for the first time. No matter the goal, each swimmer stepped up and gave their best.
One of the highlights of the weekend was the incredible team spirit. Winsford swimmers were constantly cheering for each other, offering support before and after races, and celebrating each other’s achievements. This positive energy made the event even more special.
A big thank you goes to the coaches, team managers, and officials who supported the team throughout the weekend. Their hard work helped everything run smoothly and allowed the swimmers to focus on their racing.
Winsford Swim Club now looks forward to the next competitions, Llandudno, Club Champs and Nationals.
