Winsford Swimming Club

We now only have 2 Days until we begin the final weekend of the Cheshire County Championships 2020 and with that there is so much excitement from all swimmers, coaches, team managers and family and friends who will be travelling to Macclesfield. As always a polite reminder for all swimmers to arrive in good time for their warm up and if there are any withdrawals please let us know. The first 8 sessions have been great fun watching and supporting our swimmers in their heats and finals, competing against some of the best swimmers in the County. So far we have 61 Medals and 161 Finals/Top 8 Placings with 22 different medal winners and 50 swimmers making finals. The target is clear I would like us to push onto the 100 Medal mark, that will be a challenge but I know it can be achieved if we all perform and swim faster than ever before.

On the final day of competition we have the 200 IM, SKINS and then the very exciting relays to finish the championships off. We have a huge number of relays on the Sunday, with an additional 9 relays to be swum, including mixed Free and Mixed Medley relays and to finish the 8x50 Free cannon relay. It is absolutely crucial that all swimmers who has been selected and confirmed their acceptance are present and correct on Sunday, late pullouts may result in teams being withdrawn and we don't want that! I have no doubts all our swimmers will be eager to compete and race for our club and our team mates. 

There will also be a whole team photo on poolside at 1:15pm or 13:15 hours, can all swimmers please be on poolside under the palm trees ready and wearing fluorescent orange, no black please.

Good Luck to all swimmers who are competing in the final weekend of the Cheshire County Championships, I am sure we will finish the Champs off with a bang. 

60 Swimmers racing, 46 different relay teams, GOOD LUCK to all Team Managers, I think you are going to need it!!!
