Restart Week 1 feedback - Monday 10th Aug
BRIO FEEDBACK
We have now started into our second week back and wanted to share some feedback we have received from Brio. Overall they have been very impressed with us all from the queuing, hand sanitising, social distancing and general attitude and behaviour.
They have asked that when collecting swimmers parents don't park right outside the door as this can cause a bit of a bottleneck and make social distancing harder. We know that many parents don't want children walking round the building unsupervised and we completely understand that. If you want to wait near the exit please allow plenty of space so swimmers can exit as safely and efficiently as possible. Some parents wait on the opposite side of the road for example.
COACHES FEEDBACK
Throughout the week we have seen how quickly the swimmers have adapted to this new way of training. We are getting more efficient at entering, changing and exiting. However, there are still big differences between some changing speeds. From those that climb out and put on a dressing gown and are good to go, to those who are drying themselves completely, before struggling into far more clothes than is necessary. Also remember flip flops or similar rather than socks and trainers please.
We have had a few small issues with goggles and hats. Please make sure swimmers can put these on themselves and adjust them.
SLIGHT CHANGES TO ARRIVAL/COLLECTION TIMES
Now we know how long it takes for swimmers to change and for Brio staff to clean all the surfaces we have reviewed the times.
Lanes 1 and 3 can arrive between 5 and 10 minutes before the session starts.
Lane 2 can arrive between 1 and 5 minutes before the session starts.
Please don't arrive early. We know this is completely opposite to normal.
The session end time is when we are expected to be off poolside. Eg. Monday evening runs from 7.30-8.20pm. The swimmers will be out of the pool at 8.15pm and out of the building by 8.20pm.
ADVANCE NOTICE OF WEARING OF FACE MASKS
From Monday 17th Aug it will be necessary for everyone (aged 12 upwards TBC) to wear face masks to enter the Lifestyle Centre - so we will need to wear them to queue up and go in until getting undressed at your bench. Anyone without a face mask, from the 17th Aug, will NOT be allowed in to the building.
Thanks
