Start of Week 4 Feedback and flexible training times in September
The transition to 6 lanes has been very positive with the swimmers adapting to the change very well. So far we have had positive feedback from Brio which will, in turn, hopefully allow us to move towards 30 swimmers in the pool (from 24) within the next two weeks. Brio also commented on how pleased they were to see less people gathering near the fire exit or spectating through the windows. They did still express a concern in people continuing to park at the front of the building so please ensure you park in the car park as requested.
Thank you to the many people who have already completed the survey. Already a large majority of you are showing you can be flexible with your session times which could be valuable over the coming weeks until our numbers are allowed to increase.
Since our return we have only had to make 2 rejections so far, however, due to the summer holidays coming to an end, it is possible that there may need to be some going forward. Before any rejections we will first attempt to move excess swimmers to other groups. Secondly we will reject the swimmers that have the most sessions. We are hoping that this is short term and, with our expected increased numbers, should be fairly unlikely.
That being said it is essential that you check the website regularly for any changes. There have been many cases of swimmers not attending sessions they have said they could or turning up to sessions they told us they were away for.
It takes us up to two hours daily to organise the schedule (and reorganise with all the changes), please do your bit by giving up just 1 minute of your time every day to check what time you are swimming and what lane you are in. Do NOT assume you will be doing the same every week. Check, double check and triple check. We do this manually so we can make mistakes which, if caught early, can be rectified. It is better to send us an email than turn up and be disappointed.
