Merry Christmas 2021 - Message From Dan
Wow, hasn’t 2021 been a roller coaster of a year! This past year has been very topsy-turvy to say the least, with the virus bringing numerous different challenges. However I feel as a club we have all risen to the challenges presented to us, and done an absolute fantastic job to keep Winsford at the top of the swimming pyramid in Cheshire West and East. Winsford Swim Team are in an extremely good position going into 2022 with everyone working together and striving for continuous improvement.
Our swimmers this past year have been nothing short of phenomenal, let me repeat that, PHENOMENAL, the attitude, discipline and work ethic our swimmers possess has been and continues to be fantastic and should be one million percent commended. It is amazing how with everything which has been thrown their way, they literally eat it up for breakfast, dinner and tea. We can all see that there is so many very talented swimmers at our club who will no doubt go very far in the sport. It is very exciting to see our swimmers continue their development, with a first class attitude so much is possible, it really is.
Looking to the future 2022 is very exciting, we have so much to train towards with the Cheshire County Championships beginning late January and more meets and championships to follow. With so much to look forward to, my advice to all swimmers is to enjoy every minute of the year ahead, it will be so much fun! Work hard and show your very best commitment, and enjoy the ride because it will be a whirlwind and we wouldn’t want it any other way. We will be looking to swim fast, very, very fast in the new year and I am positive with the correct training we can do that.
Thank you as always to everyone who have put their time and effort into helping Winsford Swim Team this past year. OUR success is down to an army of volunteers, teachers, coaches, swimmers, committee and parents, it really has been a team effort. If there is anyone who would like to help out next year please come forward, ALL help is welcome whether it be a large role or something which requires very little time. It is a known fact that volunteers are the back bone of any successful club, so please help Winsford Swim Team push forwards into 2022 and beyond. Be a part of something special, be a part of the best team in the world, you know you want to!
I will close my Christmas message now but I would like to finish by saying on behalf of all the coaching team, we wish all swimmers and their families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We wish you peace and happiness for 2022.
