Winsford Swimming Club

Congratulations to our team who travelled up to Blackpool to compete in this year’s Arena League final. We dressed up for the occasion, got our face paint on and were raring to go. We cheered from start to finish and finished in a respectable 6th not far from 5th and 4th at all, it was tight racing all the way throughout the afternoon.

Extra Special Mentions

Congratulations to our 9-11 Girls relay team who have taken 3 seconds off their freestyle time and 6 seconds off their medley from round 2 to the final. The 15 and Under boys also took 3 seconds off their freestyle relay. Whilst our 9-11 boys took 4 seconds off their medley. Finally our canon went 3 seconds faster. 

After a long afternoon of racing we were awarded Best Supporters 2025! So thank you to every single parent who cheered their hearts out and representing our orange army so wonderfully. The ringing of airhorns won’t stop for some time I don’t think!

Thank you to Loic and his family for travelling to come and swim today and to Carys and George who travelled back from University hugely appreciated, you were all incredible and huge assets to our team. Thank you to Ciaran, Chloe and Ava who came on the bus to support the team today even when they were not swimming, there’s a reason you guys were picked as our captains, top job! 

Another year done for Arena, congratulations everyone, once again we proved we are one of the top performing clubs within the region. We move swiftly onto Winter Nationals which starts on Thursday.
