Swim England North West 2026 Summer Regional Championships Commence with Outstanding Performances
The opening weekend of the Swim England North West 2026 Summer Regional Championships took place on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th, delivering an exceptional standard of competition and showcasing the region’s emerging swimming talent. The event was honoured by the presence of the President of Swim England Roger Prior along with his wife Sue who presented medals to the weekend’s top-performing athletes [Click here for all the details]
SENW Directors recognise the essential contribution of volunteers, including door staff, marshalls, AOE operators, and technical officials.

Swim England North West Ltd Annual General Meeting 2026
The Annual General Meeting of the members of Swim England North West Limited will be held on 11th April 2026 commencing at 10.30am. The meeting will be a ‘hybrid’ meaning that some members will meet ‘face-to-face’ whilst others will join via Zoom.
The AGM is one of the main ways to help ensure accountability of the directors of the company (the board) to the members. Clubs that wish to have a representative at the meeting but are not currently a member of the Company please contact swimnorthwest@swimming.org for further details.

National Junior Para-Swimming Meet 2026
Activity Alliance is pleased to announce that entries for the National Junior Para Swimming 2026 are now open. The event will take place at the Alan Higgs Centre in Coventry on 13-14 June 2026.

Update: Implementation of Revised World Aquatics Competition Regulations (Swimming)
Approximately 400 referees across England have been trained on the revised competition regulations from World Aquatics. [Click here for all the details]

Funding Opportunities
- Greater Manchester Moving - Funding Opportunities for ‘Greater Manchester only’ based clubs:
Fund 1 - Training for Sports Volunteers - up to £500
Clubs can apply for up to £500 to fully fund training, workshops and education opportunities for club volunteers, parents and athletes. Choose from a menu of welfare, well-being, inclusion, and safeguarding training from industry approved experts, or request training based on your clubs' specific needs! **Clubs and individuals are reminded that only Swim England Safeguarding Courses and Welfare Officer Training courses are accepted by Swim England – any courses undertaken through Greater Manchester Moving, would be ‘for personal development purposes only’
Fund 2 - Creating a positive culture - up to £1500
Club can apply for up to £250 to cover the costs of gathering athletes' voice and listening to what your member’s want. If you’ve already consulted you members, you can apply for up to £1500 to fund projects informed by your members voice that will create a positive culture at your club - one that is even more safe, supportive, welcoming and inclusive.
The funds are open to sports clubs based in Greater Manchester, who work with children and/or adults. Applications close on 12th April 2026. Artistic Swimming Masters Judges Training Online 10-12 April 2026
The Artistic Swimming (AS) Masters Judges Training aims to provide 8 hours of specialized online education for judges evaluating Masters-level Artistic Swimming competitions. Since Masters Artistic Swimming follows different judging principles compared to Elite Artistic Swimming, this program will ensure consistency and accuracy in scoring.
