Presentation Evening 2022 - We Feel Like dancing!

On Saturday 8th January Winsford Swim Team all came together at Winsford Academy to celebrate everything which is great about our club and swimmers.

The evening was a celebration for not only our club championships, but awards were given out for most improved in each squad, most improved at the club champs, an outstanding achievement award and also gifts for members of our team who went above and beyond for us over the last 2 years during Covid.

The evening was a great success with a large number of our swimmers and their families and friends in attendance. It was lovely to see our swimmers enjoying themselves and socialising together. This is now my tenth presentation evening and I honestly do not think we have ever had such a lively dance floor as we had last night. Sophie Grindley and Izzy Whittle definitely did get the party started with lots of swimmers and parents getting involved!

Thank you to Claire Turner, and Julie Grindley for organising the event, and thank you to the Turner family for putting together such wonderful hampers. Claire said it was the best hampers she has ever put together, so thank you to all who contributed prizes. I believe over £600 was made on the raffle, which is fantastic, it was clear the back massager was a prize everyone wanted so the tickets were flying off the table!

Thank you too to Diane Hanley, for preparing all the awards, a huge task so she deserves a big thank you!

A number of our parents took videos and photos so please send them into the club and we will try our best to put them up either on the website or social media.

It has been a crazy couple of years, but it was great to see our team come together last night.

It was a social event which was desperately needed, and it was the social event we hoped it would be, a huge success.
