 Congratulations to Brian Boyle 
Having recently been awarded the Swim England North West Regional Lifetime Achievement Award at our Regional Awards evening last month.
It has now been announced by Swim England that Brian Boyle has also been named as the recipient of the ‘2026 Harold Fern Award’ for his exceptional dedication to aquatics.

 Swim England North West Winter Championships 2026
Good luck to all athletes competing at this weekends Regional Winter Championships 2026 taking place on Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th November 2026 at the Manchester Aquatics Centre (25m).
 Volunteers are still needed for marshaling sessions 1 & 4 and Front of house Sunday morning If you can help, please email swimnorthwest@swimming.org. Thank you for supporting the event.

| SENW Disability Swimming Development Programme
Organised by Swim England North West and the Tutors of the University of Greater Manchester...
Are you a swimmer with an intellectual or physical disability, or do you know someone who would enjoy and benefit from taking part?
Our inclusive and enjoyable sessions have been designed to bring athletes together to train alongside others with similar experiences, with activities in and out of the pool tailored to each individual's specific needs.
 Bookings are now open and will close on Monday 9th November 2026

 Help Shape the Future of Coaching in the North West
The North West is seeking feedback from coaches to help shape future coach development. A survey has been sent to Head Coaches, and all coaches are encouraged to take part and share their experiences, challenges, and development needs.
Your feedback will help guide future coach support, education, and development opportunities across the North West. The survey closes on 31st October 2026.

 Artistic Swimming Grade Day Certificates for Sale 
Following the recent change in the way Grade Days are being ran, the Region have a limited number of certificates/badges available to purchase.

Volunteer Training Courses
(In order to complete the Refresher course all candidates must be 18 years or over and have completed the 3 hour (face to face / online) Swim England Safeguarding course within the last 3 years).
|
Coaching courses
Bookings for the first courses under our new Coach Education curriculum are expected to open from October, marking an important milestone in the evolution of coach learning and development.
Shaped by feedback from the aquatics community, the new curriculum is designed to better reflect the realities of modern coaching. Courses will begin to roll out from January 2027 and clubs are encouraged to remind coaches that they can still register their interest before bookings open.
