Aquatics GB Next Gen Champs Report 2026
Well done to our swimmers who competed last week at Aquatics GB Championships- Hen Chick, Emily Lines, Gus Fraser, Luke Nevin- Suarez, Siena Oxby (Repton) and Kate Schillinger (Repton). Special mention to Amy Kenworthy who also qualified but chose not to race this year because of work commitments.
The week was a jam packed week with some insanely fast swimming.
Hen qualified for all of the Butterfly events and finished an incredible 6th in 50, 6th in the 200 and 5th in the 100 out of the 17’s. Incredible places for the whole of the UK. You were amazing!
Emily qualified for all the Breastroke events and should guts and determination in all her races. Emily finished 22nd, 18th and 18th in her events, this was her first time qualifying for British in all 3 disciplines after an amazing national window- well done!
Gus finished 13th in the 200m Butterfly, just shy of the final, after nursing a recent shoulder injury this was a solid performance and certainly a positive outcome leading into English Nationals 10 days later. Already know English is going to be a good one for you Gus! Let’s get it!
Luke qualified for the 50&100m Butterfly finishing 15th and 19th respectively, amazing achievement to even be stood in that starting line up. Congratulations Luke! Also looking forward to seeing your performances at English.
Kate Schillinger became a double British Champion in the 50&100m Backstroke and also took double gold in the freestyle and medley relay, plus two individual bronzes in the 50&100m freestyle. An insane performance after European Juniors just the week before, well done Kate! Enjoy your rest and we look forward to having you join us again over the summer!
Siena Oxby took bronze in the 200m Freestyle, 100m Freestyle, and 100m Breaststroke! An amazing all round performance over the entire week, well done you should be super proud!
Another fantastic week of swimming done and dusted for another year!
Good Luck to all our swimmers competing at home nations this week!
Thank you
Molly
