Winsford Swimming Club

My report echoes Molly's! 

I am so, so proud of both teams  every single swimmer, parent, coach and teacher at the club now is part of making history at Winsford swimming club… just let that sink in first. 

The swimming last night was just incredible. A huge step up for the B team going into Division 1, worlds apart from last season when we were in Division 2! For the B Team we wanted to give more swimmers the opportunity to experience an Arena League so we took the most swimmers we have ever taken to join in the fun.  It’s fantastic that we have enough depth in the club to be able to field not one but two strong teams.

My analysis is littered with PBs, so so many to list.  Jess B bringing home the Gold with a 3 second PB in the 100 free. Charlotte P, Charlie S, Ivy F, Abel B, Axl B, James B with massive PBs.  Special mention to Alfie White who dropped a monstrous 10 seconds off his 50 breast.

1st - Cosacss
2nd - Carnforth
3rd - Kendal
4th - Winsford B
5th - Garston
6th - Hoylake 

The atmosphere last night was ridiculous poolside it was like Premier Final energy, my ears were actually ringing, I’ve pulled my bicep and triceps cheering so much!  Spectators, you were loud but we want you ten times louder next time.  Winsford always had the best supporters, let’s keep up the tradition.

Thank you to all our team managers Gemma Barnett, Sara Hancock and Ivan Davies.  Thank you Reece who, like Nickie, plays a huge role in the success of the club supporting mornings. Michael for holding the fort at home! Thank you for Mike Barnett for taking on announcer role, you did a fantastic job encouraging the crowd! Thanks to our officials Nina Jackson, Claire Atkinson, Anthony Brennan! Special thanks for Carla Jackson for coming back from uni to support and take our splits! 

And to Molly, for putting together such a successful programme and yes we did spend hours doing the maths! 

So so so proud of you all! Well done!!
