Time Trial and Junior Arena - 9/6/26
What a super weekend of racing! On Saturday we had a time trial where we trialled a more adhoc entry system in the hope to get more swimmers racing which we absolutely achieved. Fantastic results and a very successful event - well done swimmers and Mike (Results are being checked at the moment and we'll post them soon). Thank you so much to everyone who helped: Emma, James, Stuart F, Sara, Stewart R, Andy, Abbie, Shawn, Dave, John, Cali, Adam, Ethan and our young volunteers; Masa, Serena, Chloe, Ava and Mia.
Wonderful to see some new faces helping us, which is absolutely vital to allow to us to do these events.
Then on Sunday we had round 2 of the junior arena league over in Stockport where we placed 2nd!!! In the last round we came 3rd and 13th nationally, so we’ll see where this places us overall. It was very close with exciting racing but our little swimmers stepped up and took on the race for 2nd! We had so many PBs even with such quick turn around times really showing the work from junior camp 💪🏼 well done swimmers, extremely proud of you all 🧡 you all demonstrated professionalism and drive. Thank you to the parents who came together to support in force, Winsford is known for its orange supporting army that clearly makes such a difference to the swimmers.
Thank you Sue who was still helping us even from China! Thank you very much to Jane, Stuart and Martyn for all volunteering to TM and officiate on both days! Extended thanks to Jackie who once again volunteered for Winsford without having a swimmer competing.
I also have to express my gratitude to Sara who over the last few months has been our knight in shining armor. Taking on a lot of behind the scenes admin, coming on camp with us, supporting the TT on Sat and then giving up her time to come and TM on Sunday - I can’t say thank you loud enough 🧡
