Winsford Swimming Club

Congratulations to our 28 swimmers who travelled to Llandudno for the sprint meet. It was a fast paced event with good atmosphere. First congratulations goes to Thea Lunt and Fiona Bradley who competed in their first external gala- both girls took to the challenge so well! Esme Fraser brought home top girl of the entire meet and had a phenomenal day of racing. Whilst Maisie Jones won every race she did, a clean sweep of Gold medals! Extra shoutout to all those committed swimmers (and families!) who did the double this weekend! Junior Arena League late night into an early start in Llandudno was exceptionally tough and you all did so well. We finished 4th overall in a top club points table with a much smaller squad than last year- a great all round team performance.

Thank you to Dave Lunt and Martyn Briscoe who once again came to the rescue to officiate. Double gala for both of you as well this weekend and such appreciated.

Thank you to Sara who also took on the double, & to Ivan TM’ing with John doubling up as coach. Thank you to Adam Wright who came to help coach alongside me and help with our younger swimmers - you were brilliant help!

So thank you for another fantastic and long weekend of racing!

If any of you were as crazy as me and decided adding watching the football onto the agenda last night as well, i’m sure you understand how tiring today was!

We move onto Satellites summer meet next weekend and then Summer Nationals!
